Good morning, friends, I want to talk to you about building your team. One of the things that I heard from our listener is as soon as they went remote, all of these issues sprung up. I would like to give you a new frame of mind. I don’t believe that remote work creates issues on a team. I believe that remote work exposes issues that you didn’t see until the person is no longer in your office. Remote work reveals bad culture. It doesn’t create it. Remote work reveals poor strategy does not create poor strategy. Remote work reveals low performers. It does not create low performers if they were not there already. Remote work reveals uninspiring leadership. Remote work reveals useless meetings and outdated processes. These issues existed now. There is just nowhere to hide. If you are seeing these issues pop up in your organization, the good news is you have now spotted areas of growth. But I want to change your mindset that remote work did not create them. It exposed them.
